Swoon also features a collection of short films from female filmmakers as well as an assortment of female poets and a contemporary dance performance from the wonderful women of Forward Motion along with wine and beer specials from a fabulous collection of female fermenters. Enjoy an eccentric evening of films from around the world in this one night showcase of underground cinema. This contemporary collection of non-genre films features a variety of talented local filmmakers as well as entrants from across the country and outside the US. The evening concludes with a screening of the infamous Un Chien Andalou by Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel. Event is free, all ages. Wine, beer and café’ menu available. Strap on your lederhosen and ready the schnitzel as Bottega Gallery hosts an Oktoberfest beer tasting featuring ale, lager, hefeweizen, rauchbier and a bit of German wine to wash it all down. Thursday September 25th at 8pm, Free event. All ages. 21+ for tasting. __________________________________ |  | fourth friday gallery nights On each Fourth Friday of the month all year long, evening tours of downtown galleries and art studios are offered to the community, absolutely free of charge, the way it should be.
Participating galleries include Bottega Gallery, Acme Art Studios, Port City Pottery, New Elements Gallery, The Golden Gallery, The Wilmington Gallery, Montage Gallery at WHQR Gallery, Facade Design Studio and Three Hounds Gallery.
Like Bottega, many other downtown businesses particpate in this event in various ways, visit downtown to see for yourself.
Hours for the event are from 6-9 pm. We close at midnight or later. Always with live music and oddities!
